Some people call themselves a “Sun Worshipper”. Believe me I love sun: 1. my first visit to Egypt made me move to the country for 6 months; 2. Canada was too cold for me and I started to dream about sunny California; 3. I would be gone to the beaches, swimming pools for hours and bathe my skin in the rays; 4. I feel more productive, energetic and overall happy when it is sunny; 5. I wake up earlier and so on and so forth. Until recently I realize that it is not healthy for my skin to be exposed to the sun too much. Truth: Over-Exposure to Sun is your skin’s enemy. See below.
Sun = Premature Aging
Sun = Loss of Elasticity
Sun = Deadly Forms of Skin Cancer
Sun = Hyper Pigmentation
Again, the problems above occur only if skin is over exposed to sun. It does not mean that you must eliminate the natural source of warmth and energy. Sun is a great remedy to stay in a better mood. Moderate amount of sun rays combined with a salty sea water is recommended if you fight acne. It will help to kill bacteria and dry out pimples. Sun evens skin tone. It adds a beautiful bronze to your cheeks. Sun is great but whatever you do outside on a sunny day do not forget about protection.
Advice: 1. Cover your head when on the sun. Wear hats, bandanas. 2. Use daily creams with SPF 15 in the winter and SPF 30 in the summer. 3. Do not expose your face to the sun unprotected. 4. Enjoy it!
